Description
Santo Stefano is a 60 m² ground-floor apartment in the historic centre of Verona, a few minutes' walk from Ponte Pietra and the Roman Theatre, with a large private terrace set up for eating outdoors. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower, air conditioning and an equipped kitchen, and sleeps up to 4 guests. You book directly with the owner, Anne Bernard, with no booking-site fees.
Santo Stefano is on the ground floor, with a few steps at the entrance, on the left bank of the Adige inside Verona's old town. Two bedrooms with double or twin beds, two bathrooms, each with a shower, a separate living area with a kitchenette, and a private terrace for the apartment's guests alone.
The terrace is the reason most guests write to us about this one. It is paved and sheltered, with a table laid for eating outside: breakfast in the morning, a glass of Valpolicella in the evening.
The funicular that climbs to Castel San Pietro starts in front of the apartment, and the Roman Theatre is on this same bank. Cross Ponte Pietra and you are in the centre, where Piazza delle Erbe, Via Mazzini, the Arena and Juliet's house are all within walking distance.
Anne owns both apartments and answers her messages herself, in French, English or Italian: you book with her, not through an agency.
Limited traffic zone in Santo Stefano
From November 2026 the Santo Stefano area (Via Santo Stefano, Via Fontanelle Santo Stefano, Via San Carlo and the surrounding streets) is a limited traffic zone (ZTL), with an electronic access gate. The restriction applies every day 9:00–12:30, 14:00–17:30 and 20:00–7:00; only authorised vehicles may enter. Please check the address and times before you arrive, and write to us if you are coming by car.

Good to know
The apartment is on the ground floor, with five or six external steps at the entrance. If you are coming by car, there are two car parks outside the Santo Stefano ZTL: Don Mazza car park, 4 minutes' walk away, and Saba Isolo car park, which is paid, 9 minutes' walk away. Left to itself, a sat nav takes you to Don Mazza along Via Santo Stefano, inside the ZTL: follow the route on the map above instead, which approaches from outside the city walls. Contact Anne before your arrival and she will explain how to get there with your luggage. Verona Porta Nuova railway station is about 10 minutes away by car.

This was a gem of a place!
Wow. This was a gem of a place! Very stylish and very well presented. Felt like a 5* boutique hotel! Anne was a fabulous host, very communicative and helpful. Had plenty of local tips. Highly recommended. For those curious about parking, there is no free parking on the premises but there is a free car park close by. Again Anne was very helpful with helping here.

Would highly recommend La Dolce Vita Apartment , I wish she has one in every city that I visit . Ann is incredibly kind , great hostess , so much warmth but also respect your privacy . I would give her a 15 out of 10 ! We would definitely come back again . Just perfect ....
Forget any hotels, this hands down beats them all
A truly beautiful place in a beautiful part of the city with everything only a stones throw away. Sitting on the terrace enjoying a morning coffee and seeing the city come alive before a short stroll into the old town was a fantastic start to the day. The rooms, the feeling of the apartment, the quietness whilst being close to the hustle and bustle were simply magical. Forget any hotels, this hands down beats them all. We will be back I’m sure :)

I would give 5 stars million times over. La Dolce Vita Apartment felt more like a second home the moment we stepped into it. We were greeting by our wonderful beautiful host and she went thru everything we needed to know about her home and all the good things about Verona. Her home is very modern yet is has all the charming characteristics you see all thru Verona. Anne has an eye for those tiniest extra details which makes her home warm and cozy. I never wanted to leave. I definitely will be back to Verona with my love and I can’t wait for him to see La Dolce Vita, meet Anne and see all the beauty and history Verona has to offer.

Lovely and thoughtfully decorated apartment with a beautiful terrace ideal for breakfast and reading. The location is superb - just a few steps away from the Ponte Pietra into the old city. Indeed a comfortable home away from home.
A little slice of heaven!
Anne was an amazing host and the property was gorgeous. The decor is beautiful. We loved sitting on the terrace. Close to the old city across a bridge. Grocery store nearby and the incline railway is literally next door.

Santo Stefano is located at Via Fontanelle Santo Stefano 10, 37129 Verona, on the left bank of the River Adige and within the historic centre. Ponte Pietra is approximately five minutes away on foot, while Piazza delle Erbe and the Arena can be reached in around 10 and 20 minutes respectively. The funicular to Castel San Pietro is located directly opposite the building. Verona Porta Nuova railway station is about 10 minutes away by car.

Air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, a Smart TV with Netflix, a Bose Bluetooth speaker and a Nespresso coffee machine are included. Guests also have exclusive use of the large private terrace, furnished for relaxing and dining outdoors.

Both are elegant 60-square-metre apartments with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, located in Verona's historic centre and personally looked after by the same owner.
