Description
Santo Stefano is on the ground floor, with a few steps at the entrance, on the left bank of the Adige inside Verona's old town. Two bedrooms with double or twin beds, two bathrooms each with a shower, a separate living area with a kitchenette, and a terrace that belongs to the apartment alone.
The terrace is the reason most guests write to us about this one. It is paved and sheltered, with a table laid for eating outside: breakfast in the morning, a glass of Valpolicella in the evening.
The funicular that climbs to Castel San Pietro starts in front of the apartment, and the Roman Theatre is on this same bank. Cross Ponte Pietra and you are in the centre, where Piazza Erbe, Via Mazzini, the Arena and Juliet's house are all within walking distance.
You can reach the apartment by car, and guests leave it in the free public car park nearby. Anne owns both apartments and answers her messages herself, in French, English or Italian: you book with her, not through an agency.

This was a gem of a place!
Wow. This was a gem of a place! Very stylish and very well presented. Felt like a 5* boutique hotel! Anne was a fabulous host, very communicative and helpful. Had plenty of local tips. Highly recommended. For those curious about parking, there is no free parking on the premises but there is a free car park close by. Again Anne was very helpful with helping here.

Would highly recommend La Dolce Vita Apartment , I wish she has one in every city that I visit . Ann is incredibly kind , great hostess , so much warmth but also respect your privacy . I would give her a 15 out of 10 ! We would definitely come back again . Just perfect ....
Forget any hotels, this hands down beats them all
A truly beautiful place in a beautiful part of the city with everything only a stones throw away. Sitting on the terrace enjoying a morning coffee and seeing the city come alive before a short stroll into the old town was a fantastic start to the day. The rooms, the feeling of the apartment, the quietness whilst being close to the hustle and bustle were simply magical. Forget any hotels, this hands down beats them all. We will be back I’m sure :)

I would give 5 stars million times over. La Dolce Vita Apartment felt more like a second home the moment we stepped into it. We were greeting by our wonderful beautiful host and she went thru everything we needed to know about her home and all the good things about Verona. Her home is very modern yet is has all the charming characteristics you see all thru Verona. Anne has an eye for those tiniest extra details which makes her home warm and cozy. I never wanted to leave. I definitely will be back to Verona with my love and I can’t wait for him to see La Dolce Vita, meet Anne and see all the beauty and history Verona has to offer.

Lovely and thoughtfully decorated apartment with a beautiful terrace ideal for breakfast and reading. The location is superb - just a few steps away from the Ponte Pietra into the old city. Indeed a comfortable home away from home.
A little slice of heaven!
Anne was an amazing host and the property was gorgeous. The decor is beautiful. We loved sitting on the terrace. Close to the old city across a bridge. Grocery store nearby and the incline railway is literally next door.

Beautifully decorated, spacious apartment in lovely Verona. The owner has put a huge amount of thought in the features & decor. Immensely relaxing, and the private terrace space is a great extra! We loved it, and will be back again!!

Who is the host, and what languages does she speak?
I am Anne Bernard. I trained at the Vatel Institute in Lyon, I have lived in Verona since 1992, and I look after both apartments myself. I reply in French, English and Italian, and I am one of the very few native French-speaking hosts among Verona's boutique apartments. Ask me where to eat away from the busy squares: that is the part of the job I like best.
Is the terrace only for this apartment?
It is, and it is not shared with anyone. The terrace belongs to Santo Stefano alone: paved, with a table and chairs for eating outside. It is the reason most guests pick this apartment over the other one.
Is there parking near the apartment?
Santo Stefano has no private parking, but you can reach the apartment by car, and guests leave it in a free public car park nearby. Write or call me before you arrive and I will tell you where to stop to unload the luggage and where to leave the car for the rest of your stay.

Ponte Pietra is about five minutes' walk away, Piazza Erbe ten and the Arena twenty, and the funicular up to Castel San Pietro starts right in front of the building.
